West Virginia State University student account questions
What happens if I don't pay my tuition by the payment deadline at WVSU?
If you do not pay all tuition and fees (or make payment arrangements) by the payment due date published in the academic calendar, you are at risk of being administratively withdrawn from your classes. An account hold will also prevent you from registering, viewing grades, participating in graduation activities, and receiving transcripts. If a check is returned, an additional $35 NSF fee is assessed. Contact the Office of Student Accounts at osa@wvstateu.edu or (304) 766-3141.
How do I view my account balance and pay my tuition at WVSU?
Log in to your MyState account at mystate.wvstateu.edu, click 'Student & Financial Aid' > 'Student Records' > 'Account Summary by Term' to view your bill. To pay online, go to Account Summary, scroll to the bottom, and select the credit card payment option. You can also pay by phone, in person at the Office of Student Accounts, or by mail. Installment plan options (60/40 and monthly) are also available. Contact osa@wvstateu.edu or (304) 766-3141.
What is the tuition refund schedule if I withdraw from WVSU?
If you officially withdraw from all classes, WVSU's refund schedule is: 100% refund through the extended add/drop date; 90% refund if you withdraw after completing 0-10% of the term; 50% refund after completing 10-25%; no refund after completing more than 50%. There is no refund for dropping to a reduced schedule — the refund policy only applies when withdrawing from ALL classes. Contact the Office of Registration and Records at registration@wvstateu.edu or (304) 766-4146 to initiate a withdrawal.
