Vassar College student account questions
What happens if I have an outstanding balance at Vassar?
If you have an unpaid balance, a hold will be placed on your Vassar student account. A hold may prevent you from participating in room draw, pre-registering for classes, or even returning for the following semester. The hold remains until the outstanding balance is paid in full or all anticipated aid has been received. If the account is referred to a collection agency, you must work directly with that agency. Contact Student Accounts at stuaccounts@vassar.edu or (845) 437-5320 to resolve billing issues.
When are bills due and how do I access my Vassar student account?
Vassar bills on a semester basis. Fall semester billing statements are generated in mid-July; spring semester statements are generated in mid-December. Pay your bill and view account activity through TouchNet — students log in at secure3.touchnet.com/C20911_tsa/web/caslogin.jsp. If a parent or third party will pay, you must add them as an Authorized User in TouchNet. You can also access many services through VassarOne at one.vassar.edu.
Does Vassar offer a payment plan?
Yes. Vassar offers term-based monthly payment plans (5-month or 4-month options per semester). There is a non-refundable $40 enrollment fee per semester. Plans must be re-enrolled each semester — they do not automatically renew. Payments are due on the 5th of each month. If a payment is missed or rejected, a $30 fee is assessed. Enroll via TouchNet. Contact stuaccounts@vassar.edu for questions.
What is Vassar's refund policy if I withdraw or take a leave?
Vassar College has no institutional tuition refund policy — no refunds are made for withdrawal or leave of absence, except as required by federal law. Students receiving federal Title IV aid who withdraw are subject to the federal Return of Title IV Funds formula, which calculates earned aid based on time attended (up to the 60% point of the semester). Contact the Dean of Studies office (dos@vassar.edu or 845-437-5255) before taking any leave.
