University of West Florida student account questions

What happens if I have an unpaid balance at UWF?

An administrative hold will be placed on your account for any unpaid balance, blocking registration and diploma release, and possibly preventing release of financial aid. If your account becomes delinquent, UWF may refer it to a collection agency and report to credit bureaus. Students who fail to pay or enroll in a payment plan by the end of the second week of the term may be removed from classes (reinstatement costs $200). Contact Student Accounts and Cashier at stuacct@uwf.edu or 850.474.3035 to discuss options.

What holds can prevent me from registering at UWF?

Registration holds at UWF include: Financial holds (any unpaid balance), Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA) holds (the FRA must be completed twice per academic year in MyUWF My Messages before you can register — once for summer/fall and once for spring), and other holds (advisor, parking, etc.). Check your active holds in MyUWF. To resolve a financial hold, contact Student Accounts at stuacct@uwf.edu or 850.474.3035. For FRA holds, complete the agreement in MyUWF My Messages.

Does UWF offer a payment plan for tuition?

Yes. UWF's payment plan is available through Transact (accessible in MyUWF) for students with a balance of $300 or more. Fall and spring semesters offer up to 5 installments; summer offers up to 4. A one-time non-refundable $15 enrollment fee is charged with your first payment. Enroll by the fee payment deadline to avoid a $100 late payment fee.
