How does the TSU installment plan work?
Texas Southern University offers a semester installment plan for students without a financial aid deferment. It covers tuition and fees only — not housing or meal plan charges. There is a non-refundable $52 setup fee plus 25% of tuition and fees due upfront at enrollment. For Fall: remaining balance split across 4 equal payments. The plan is available through the 20th class day for Fall/Spring and the 15th class day for Summer. Late installment payments are charged a $10 late fee. Enroll through MyTSU/Student Accounting.
What is the refund policy if I withdraw from Texas Southern University?
For Fall or Spring semester withdrawals, TSU calculates refunds on a weekly scale: 100% before first class day, 80% during week 1, 70% during week 2, 50% during week 3, 25% during week 4, and 0% after week 4. For Summer, refunds are: 100% before the first class day, 80% on the first class day, 50% on the second class day, and 0% after the third class day. If you drop (but don't fully withdraw) within the first 12 class days of a fall/spring semester, you'll receive a full refund on those specific dropped courses.
