Why Texas State Technical College students miss critical emails
Your inbox is full of noise. Even if you check it every day, that one financial aid deadline or registration hold notice is easy to miss in the flood.
When most students depend on financial aid, a missed verification deadline or disbursement notice can mean a dropped semester.

Texas State Technical College student account questions
What happens if I have an unpaid balance at TSTC?
Any past-due unpaid balance makes your account delinquent. A delinquent student may not register for subsequent terms or add classes in the current term. TSTC may also withhold your official transcripts. If the debt is not resolved through internal efforts, your account may be sent to an outside collection agency that can charge up to 30% of the debt plus attorney fees, and the debt may be reported to credit bureaus. To resolve a balance, contact your local Student Accounting office (e.g., Waco: 254-867-4842; Harlingen: 956-364-4409).
What are my payment options and deadlines at TSTC?
After registering, you can pay in full or enroll in a payment plan through the OneTSTC Dashboard (login.tstc.edu) under Finances. The payment plan requires a 34% down payment plus a $25 non-refundable fee, with the balance split across installments. A $25 late fee is charged for each installment paid more than 7 business days late. Payment deadlines are set each semester (e.g., Fall 2026: September 1; Spring 2026: December 13, 2025). You can pay online at workday.tstc.edu, in person, or by phone at your local Student Accounting office.
What is TSTC's refund policy if I drop a class or withdraw?
For a 15-week term: dropping before the first class day gives a 100% refund; days 1-14 of the semester: 70%; days 15-19: 25%; after day 19: no refund. If you received federal financial aid and withdraw at or before 60% of the term, you may be required to repay a portion of that aid. Withdrawing does not cancel any payment plan or outstanding loan obligation. Contact the Enrollment Center to officially drop or withdraw.
