What happens if I have an unpaid balance at TMCC?
If you have outstanding fees not covered by anticipated financial aid, TMCC may cancel your enrollment. All past-due fees will prevent you from receiving other college services. Late fees can accumulate up to $100 per semester. Delinquent accounts may be referred to an outside collection agency. Contact the Cashier's Office (Accounting Services) at studentaccounts@tmcc.edu or 775-673-7155 to discuss your balance.
Does not attending class count as a withdrawal at TMCC?
No. Non-attendance is NOT an official withdrawal. You must formally withdraw through MyTMCC (my.tmcc.edu). You can withdraw with a 'W' grade through 60% of the semester term — no refund applies at that point. Refunds: 100% through the Sunday after the first week of classes, 50% through the Sunday of the third week. After those deadlines, no refund is issued. TMCC may cancel enrollment for students who fail to attend during the 100% refund period.
Does TMCC offer a payment plan for tuition?
Yes. TMCC offers a 3- or 4-installment payment plan for Fall and Spring semesters (not available for Summer). There is a $10 non-refundable enrollment fee and your balance must be at least $200. Financial aid cannot cover the payment plan fee. Log in to MyTMCC (my.tmcc.edu) to enroll, or contact the Cashier's Office at studentaccounts@tmcc.edu or 775-673-7155.
What learning management system does TMCC use and how do I access my online classes?
TMCC uses Canvas for all online courses. Access Canvas at tmcc.instructure.com using the same username and password as your MyTMCC account. MyTMCC (my.tmcc.edu) is powered by the NSHE iNtegrate PeopleSoft system and is your main hub for registration, grades, financial aid, and tuition payments. Your TMCC student email (username@mail.tmcc.edu, hosted by Google) is the official communication channel used by the college and your instructors.
