Seattle Central College student account questions

What happens if I have an unpaid balance at Seattle Central College?

Students with outstanding balances cannot register for future classes or obtain official transcripts. The college may refer past-due accounts to collections under Washington state law (RCW 28B.10.293 and RCW 19.16.500), which allows the college to add collection costs to the balance owed. Returned checks result in a $30.75 fee and immediate administrative withdrawal. To resolve billing issues, contact the Cashier's Office at Cashier.Central@seattlecolleges.edu or 206.934.4108 (M–Th 8am–4:30pm, F 8am–2pm, BE1104A).

What is the SFRA and why do I have to complete it before registering?

The Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) is a required annual agreement that outlines your financial obligations when enrolling at Seattle Central. You must complete it each academic year (Summer through Spring) in ctcLink before your first registration — if you don't, an SFRA hold will block you from enrolling. You'll find it in ctcLink under "Holds." Students under 18, Dept. of Corrections, and Continuing Education students are excluded. Email StudentFinancial@seattlecolleges.edu with questions.

I got error code 0019 when trying to register. What does that mean?

Error 0019 means there is a hold on your account blocking registration. Holds can be placed for financial reasons (unpaid balance), for not completing the SFRA, by an advisor, or for other reasons. Visit the Registration front counter in BE1104B or call 206.934.6918 (M–Th 8am–4:30pm, F 8am–12pm) to find out which department placed the hold and how to clear it. For financial holds, contact the Cashier's Office at Cashier.Central@seattlecolleges.edu.
