Pima Community College student account questions

What happens if I have an unpaid balance at Pima Community College?

If you have an outstanding debt with Pima, a financial hold will be placed on your account and you will not be allowed to register for any classes until the balance is paid in full. Holds can result from an overdue balance from the current or a previous term, or from an account sent to a collection agency. Returned payments may also be forwarded to a collection agency or the Pima County Attorney's Office. To pay your balance or get help, contact Accounts Receivable Services at bursaronline@pima.edu or call (520) 206-4574.

How do I check if I have a hold on my Pima account?

Log in to MyPima (mypima.pima.edu), select the Academics tab, then Student Profile. Holds are displayed in the upper right of your Student Profile page. Each hold will indicate the type and the department to contact for resolution. Financial holds require payment in full through MyAccountManager or in person at Accounts Receivable Services at the West or Downtown Campus.

What holds can prevent me from registering for classes at Pima?

Registration holds at Pima include: (1) Financial hold — for any past due balance from the current or a previous term; pay in full to remove. (2) Multiple registration drops for non-payment — if you have been dropped twice for non-payment, contact Accounts Receivable Services to request release after making financial arrangements. (3) Collection agency hold — contact the agency directly (number shown in your hold view). Non-financial holds also exist; check your Student Profile in MyPima for the department to contact.
