Mesa Community College student account questions

What happens if I don't pay my tuition by the due date at Mesa Community College?

Tuition at MCC is due before the semester starts (Summer 2026: April 27; Fall 2026: July 27). If you do not pay and have not enrolled in a payment plan or obtained a Third Party Authorization, you risk being dropped from your classes. Contact Cashier Services at cashiers@mesacc.edu or 480-461-7000 to discuss your options.

What happens to my MCC account if my balance remains unpaid for an extended period?

If your account reaches 180 days past due, Maricopa Community Colleges may refer the debt to the Arizona Department of Revenue (which can withhold your state tax refund) or send it to a collection agency. In the meantime, college services are not available until your balance is paid in full or you enroll in a Past Due Payment Plan. Contact Cashier Services at cashiers@mesacc.edu or 480-461-7000 to make arrangements.

Does MCC offer a payment plan to spread out tuition costs?

Yes. MCC offers an interest-free Tuition Payment Plan through NBS/FACTS (Nelnet). To enroll, you pay a $40 down payment ($25 nonrefundable enrollment fee + $15 registration fee), which activates the plan. Remaining payments are automatically processed on the 5th of each month. Enroll through your Student Center at redirect.maricopa.edu/student-center. A $30 fee applies if a payment is returned.
