University of Kansas student account questions

What happens if I have an unpaid balance at the University of Kansas?

Any past due balance on your KU student account triggers a financial hold (NPY) that prevents enrollment in future semesters until the balance is paid in full. Late fees of $100 (fall/spring) or $50 (summer) are assessed each month payment is not received by the 15th due date, then a 1.5% monthly default fee is applied to all remaining unpaid tuition and fees. Delinquent accounts may be referred to collections, the Kansas State Setoff program, or legal action. Contact Student Accounts & Receivables at stu.account@ku.edu or 785-864-3322.

What holds or requirements can prevent me from registering at KU?

Each semester you must complete the Student Financials Responsibility Statement (SFRS) in Enroll & Pay before you can enroll. Financial holds (NPY/BUR) for any past due balance block future enrollment until paid in full — pay online at sa.ku.edu and the hold clears within one hour. Student Loan holds (KULC) for Perkins/HPSL/LDS loans that are 90+ days past due, in default, or missing an exit interview block enrollment, transcripts, and diploma requests. Resolve financial holds by paying your balance; contact Student Accounts & Receivables at 785-864-3322 for assistance.

Where can I check my holds and account balance at KU?

Log in to Enroll & Pay at sa.ku.edu and select the Student Financials tile to view your current account balance, eBills, payment history, and any active holds. Bills are generated around the 21st of each month and are due by the 15th of the following month. If you pay online through Enroll & Pay, financial holds are automatically released within one hour.

Does Email Cheat Code work with University of Kansas email?

Yes. University of Kansas uses Microsoft 365 (Outlook) for student email. Email Cheat Code connects to your @ku.edu account with read-only access and sends you SMS alerts when critical emails arrive - financial aid deadlines, registration holds, bursar notices, and academic notifications.

If you're among the first students at your school to connect, your IT department may need to approve the app first - we can help with that.

What emails does Email Cheat Code monitor at University of Kansas?

We monitor your University of Kansas inbox for the emails that actually matter - financial aid deadlines, FAFSA verification requests, registration holds, tuition payment reminders, academic standing notices, and advisor communications. Newsletters, club emails, and campus-wide blasts are filtered out. You only get a text when something needs your attention.

Is my University of Kansas email account safe with Email Cheat Code?

Yes. We connect through your provider's official OAuth sign-in - the same process you'd use to connect any trusted app. We can only read your emails, never send, delete, or modify them.

Email content is never stored - only a short alert summary is saved. Our security was independently verified through a CASA Tier 2 audit by TAC Security for the App Defense Alliance. You can revoke access anytime from your account settings.
