Cape Fear Community College student account questions

What happens if I don't pay my tuition on time at CFCC?

All CFCC tuition and fees are due on the day of registration. If you are not financially cleared by the tuition deadline, you may be purged (removed) from your classes. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before you can register for a new semester. A returned check or payment fee of $35 (paper check/e-check) applies for bounced payments. If a payment plan payment is returned, a $30 returned items fee is assessed. Unpaid accounts can be referred to the NC Attorney General's Office and the NC Department of Revenue under the Set-off Debt Collection Act — and you will be responsible for any collection costs incurred.

Does CFCC offer a payment plan, and how do I enroll?

Yes. CFCC offers a monthly installment payment plan for curriculum tuition and fees (not books). To enroll, you must sign up by the tuition deadline — students not financially cleared by that date may be dropped from classes. A non-refundable $25 enrollment fee per semester is charged at sign-up. Payments are debited automatically from your bank account or credit card. Returned payments incur a $30 fee. Visit cfcc.edu/paying-for-cfcc/payment-plan/ for details and to enroll.
