The Catholic University of America student account questions
How do I avoid having my registration blocked for the upcoming semester?
Keep your account balance below $300. Balances of $300 or more will block your ability to register for future courses. Any unpaid balance will block transcript and diploma release. You must also accept the Statement of Financial Responsibility in Cardinal Students before you can register.
When is my tuition bill due and what happens if I pay late?
Payment is due before the last day to add a class each semester. If you have an outstanding balance after that deadline, a late fee of 5% of your outstanding balance is assessed once per semester, and interest of 18% per annum is charged monthly on the 15th.
What is the tuition refund policy if I withdraw from all my classes?
For fall and spring semesters: 100% refund through the add/drop deadline; 80% through the end of week 3; 50% through the end of week 4; 0% after week 4. For summer sessions: 100% through the add/drop deadline; 0% after. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal—you must formally withdraw.
Is multi-factor authentication (MFA) required to access CUA systems?

Duo Security is additionally required for VPN access and certain administrative systems. The LMS (Cardinal Learn, powered by D2L Brightspace) is accessed through your CUA credentials.
