If your unpaid balance reaches $500 or more, Boise State will place a financial hold on your account preventing you from registering for future classes. On the day after the payment deadline, a $50 deadline penalty is assessed. Monthly late fees of 1.75% of your past-due balance (or $10 minimum, whichever is greater) are then charged each month. If your account becomes delinquent, it may be referred to an external collections agency — adding fees up to 33% of the outstanding amount — and reported to national credit bureaus. Log in to myBoiseState at my.boisestate.edu (MFA required). From your Student Center, select the Student Financials tile to view your balance and charges due. Active holds — including financial, advising, and other holds — appear in your Student Center along with the office responsible for each hold and instructions for clearing it.
Does Boise State require a Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA) before registration?
Yes. Each semester you must complete a Financial Responsibility Agreement in your myBoiseState Student Center before you can register for classes. Find it in the tasks tile. By signing, you accept financial responsibility for all tuition, fees, and associated costs. Once completed, the FRA hold is automatically removed and you can proceed to register.
