Adelphi University student account questions
What happens if I have an unpaid balance at Adelphi?
Students with unpaid balances past the due date will be assessed late fees of $100, $150, and $200 for the first, second, and third missed billing dates of the semester. A hold is placed on your account that prevents you from registering for future classes or receiving your diploma (but NOT transcripts, which have been unblocked since August 2021). If the balance remains unpaid and collection efforts are unsuccessful, your account may be forwarded to an outside collection agency that will report to all credit bureaus. Contact the One-Stop Student Services Center at onestop@adelphi.edu or 516.877.3080 to discuss payment arrangements.
What holds can prevent me from registering at Adelphi?
Financial holds are placed when your account has a past-due balance. These prevent you from registering for future classes. Advisor holds also apply — all students must have their schedule approved by their academic adviser before they can register. To check your holds, log into CLASS at class.adelphi.edu. For financial holds, contact the One-Stop Student Services Center at onestop@adelphi.edu or 516.877.3080. For advisor holds, contact your assigned adviser or the Office of Academic Services and Retention at oasr@adelphi.edu or 516.877.3150.
Where can I check my balance and holds at Adelphi?
Log into CLASS at class.adelphi.edu (via eCampus). Under 'Billing,' use 'My Current Account Activity' for a live snapshot of your account and 'My Monthly Statements' for past billing statements. Holds are also visible in CLASS. The One-Stop Student Services Center in Levermore Hall, Room 008 can help you understand and resolve any holds — reach them at onestop@adelphi.edu or 516.877.3080.
Does Adelphi offer a tuition payment plan?
Yes. Adelphi partners with Transact (formerly Cashnet) to offer semester-based payment plans with a $35 enrollment fee per semester and no interest. You can split your balance into up to 5 monthly payments, depending on when you enroll — the earlier you enroll, the more installments you get. The minimum plan amount is $500. Enroll through CLASS (eCampus) or call Transact at 877.821.0625. Enrolling in a payment plan also removes an existing financial hold on your account.
